Is there a shuttle service FROM GENETEC HQ?

A daily shuttle will be available from December 10 to 14 to transport employees from the Montreal office to the hotel and back.

What are the hotel options for Montreal-based employees?

If you're a Montreal-based employee, you can book a hotel room from December 10 to 14 at the subsidized rate of $100 + tax per night (regular room).

If you're a Montreal-based employee that received Arbiter approval, you can book a hotel room from December 10 to 14 at the company's expense.

*The cost of extending your reservation for both of the previous options, before or after the event, is $199/night for a regular room and is subject to availability. Please include the dates of your stay on your registration form and we will send your request to the hotel.

Is transportation to and from the airport provided?

Connect’19 attendees arriving by plane should plan to take taxis from the airport to the hotel and back. If you’re on the same flight as some of your colleagues, please do your best to share a cab.

If you’re travelling from Paris on the Air Canada charter flight arriving on Sunday, December 10th, a shuttle will be organized for the group. More information about this will be communicated in the coming weeks.

Do I need a travel Visa or an eTA?

It is your responsibility to request a visa (if applicable) or an eTA for your trip to Connect’19. If you require a letter from your employer to complete the visa application, please contact the Genetec HR team with a detailed list of what to include in the letter. Please note that HR requires 14 working days to process these requests.

Can my spouse attend?

We’re happy to welcome your spouse to Montreal. Spouses are invited to join us at the Gala evening on Thursday, December 13th. Cocktail events, breakfast, lunch and breaks during the week are for employees only. Travel expenses and meals for your spouse are your responsibility.

What’s the weather like in Montreal in December?

The average temperature in Montreal in mid-December is -6˚C/22˚F and weather conditions may include rain or snow. We recommend that you pack warm clothing, such as a coat, hat, scarf, gloves and suitable footwear for cold, wet conditions.

Booking time with IS Support

Members of the IS Support team will be on-site at the hotel during the week to help you with any support issues you might need resolved. The IS Support team will be there from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm from Monday until Thursday.

Members of the Digital Business Solutions team will be at Connect’19 this year so they can answer all your questions related to the Dynamics 365FO platform.

If you have any questions or facing any issues related to either Timesheets, Expense reports or Purchase requisitions, come and see us in the Support room located on the third floor in the Swing room.

We are also available for any tips & tricks on D365FO. Bring your laptop or mobile with you so we can look at this together. See you there!

Wi-Fi

There will be free Wi-Fi available throughout the hotel during the week, so we ask that you please turn off all roaming on your phones for the duration of your stay.

Year-End Party

You’ll receive a formal invitation to register for the Year-End Party. Non-Montreal-based employees attending the party should include the night of December 14th and December 15th in their hotel booking on this registration site.
